Randy's Memorial Service
« on: August 26, 2006, 08:36:12 PM »

Just thought I would comment on the memorial service this Sat morning.
I was very moved by each and every aspect, so much so that I was unable to attend the luncheon which followed. Just needed some time alone. As witnessed by all, Randy truly touched the lives of many people. It was an honor for me to know him, if only for a few short years.
I would like to say a special thanks for all who stood before the mic and shared a part of Randy's life with all of us. Guy what an outstanding slide show and movie you put together, I was deeply moved. Mrs. BirdDog what an incredible gift you have of putting the spoken word on paper, it was like poetry.
Again thanks to all who organized this memorial, the memory will last forever. Finally our prayers go out to the family.

Pat

I couldnt agree more, what a wonderful service! I went to the luncheon, but didnt stay long, had to get back down here to Hanford, plus also felt I needed to have some time alone driving back with my thoughts.. I didnt get up and speak for basically two reasons, one, I'm not comfortable speaking in front of a large group, but also, I didnt know Randy for all that long... Next month would have been one year. But I thought alot of him, and even in that short time considered him a good friend...  It bothers me alot that I was tied up that weekend and wasnt able to make his last run...
