Open new trails
« on: May 26, 2019, 02:47:16 PM »

Below is part of letter from Stewards of the Sierra

The Sierra National Forest (SNF) needs your comments to help them open more roads and trials here in the SNF.  Please see the attached letter sent out requesting your comments.

This is what we have been calling Travel Management 2.  These are the roads and trails that were either left out, not analyzed, and or closed during the Travel Management Part 1.  These roads and trails are very important to recreation here in the SNF and help to provide connectivity to the road and trail system.

There will be public meeting on June 11, 2019 at the Forest Supervisors office from 6:00 to 7:30 pm to meet with SNF staff also.  Please get as many people to attend this meeting and let the SNF know you want more roads and trails opened here in the SNF.

A detailed description of the need for the Project and the proposed action is available on the
Forest website at: https://www.fs.usda.gov/project/?project=55572.
