Stewards of the Sierra National Forrest- Updated Map
« on: October 19, 2017, 12:55:41 AM »

Stewards of the SNF have furnished PDF files of all known trails in our forest.  They have requested that we contact them with additions to the map of other known trails along with an explanation about why you like that trail (it's a loop, connects to another driving spot, great fishing spot, great camping spot, etc.).

The additions are going to go to be pitched to be added to the MVUM.  During the first time that the MVUM were discussed (travel plan 1), over 800 miles of trail were reported.  They only had time to review 145 miles of those 800 and of the 145, only 85 miles were kept.  They are doing another round to revisit some of the trails that were not visited the first time around and also asking for submissions of trails.

Send new routes to Steve at cowdrey@sti.net.  Please also call Steve with any other questions 559-977-2482.

For original information about this topic, please see our October 2017 minutes at the following link.

The PDFs can be viewed here, they are too large to post on the board.

Thanks Caboose for taking the time to post and make the maps available.  I encourage anyone that is familiar with trails or roads check to see if they are on a map.  Stewards of the Sierra Nation Forest do most of their work in the Bass Lake area and may not be familiar with the 168 Hwy Dinkey Creek area.
