That sounds good Lou. Thanks for the input. Yea next year we should plan on doing Bald. I know that we all wheel there about a dozen times each year, but it seems like a good choice for all the reasons that you named. A stock rig could make it, but at the same time there is a lot of cool stuff to play on for the hard core guys. I'll plan on being there so let Rick know.  :racing:

I've invited three pastors from our church.  I havn't heard a commitment yet.  I'll try to get the final count to Rick by Friday!  I don't think any of these guys have ever done anything like this before.  I know that one likes the idea of it.  We are really looking forward to it.  I think they will love it!  Of course they allready think I'm insane, we'll see what happens.

Fred, we usually park behind the post office. This area is used for boat and trailer parking in the summer, but during the winter, it is not used. We have used it several times during the off season in the past.  It seems as though there are going to be over double the rigs that we had last year. So I will check with them and see what they say. i think they will be OK with it, because our other option is to park in front of the post office (PUBLIC PARKING) and all of the other buildings. I think that they would like to keep this area clear for the saturday tourists from the valley. :dunno: But I'll find out

How far is the trail head from this spot? I ask because my Cruiser isn't too terribly street friendly.

My check is in the mail, too...Not really, can I get it to you up there? I haven't got my check in the bank yet, so I know it wouldn't get there in time for the run.

Lou is some what correct.  We have used that parking for snow runs but the road to shuteye peak is a ways (5+/- miles) up Beashore rd and for his rig its an ok drive but for us trailer Queens we park at the turn off to Central camp so its only dirt after that.  we can unload while the rest of the guys air down.
Sorry i didn't get back to you sooner but I spend all my time at 4X4HIM.ORG and didn't see your posts.

I went to the Pines Village today to talk about parking and got the thumbs up  from them if we park behind the post office, prefferably off of the pavement in the dirt.
