Star Lake Sat Jul 30
« on: July 28, 2016, 09:29:17 AM »

Anyone interested in a day trip to Star Lake and avoid the valley heat? This is a relatively easy trail with great scenery along the way. We'll meet Saturday morning at the Oakhurst Vons at 8:45 and plan to leave at 9:00. We may have some "open the trail work" to do, but I'm hoping for more of a relaxing day with some scouting thrown in. For those who want to, we'll stop at Pete's for dinner in Oakhurst.

You must post up here or contact me so we know you're coming or the run will be cancelled! It should be fun and we look forward to seeing you there. :)

Susan made plans to go to the Tahoe area to avoid the heat this weekend.
Wish I had known a little earlier, sounds like fun Don. :(

Hmm, Tahoe "Big Blue" Lake with Susan or Star Lake with us. I think you got the best deal... :)

If anyone is thinking about going, this is a fun and scenic trail with great views.
From the camp ground you can see into the Wawona golf course. highly recommend going !!

I have a friend of mine that just bought a new JK and wants to take wheeling. He has a cabin in Shaver so we're probably heading up toward Bald. You guys have fun.

Well, it looks like we'll have to do this another time when folks can go. Sorry about that, but it will be fun when we do. Watch this space for announcements of other wheeling opportunities. :)
