My trip started out on bad note.
But, thank the Lord we kept the rubber side down, even if half the rubber was gone on the left rear tire. This happened in Fowler at ~70 MPH, I fishtailed across the freeway at least three times, and we waited an hour for AAA to come & hopefully change it safely before I decided to just get it done myself.
That put us way behind, but our being late ended up being a blessing for Chris. His RH front tire sustained a gash during the first creek crossing, so we hauled Jacob's spare in there and got it changed out. Wow, two tire changes in one day!
No pictures were taken of that, but we continued on up the trail while Chris headed back to the lunch site. I hoped we would catch the group sooner, but took a few too many "shortcuts", so we spotted them at the tower when we were still on the next ridge over.
It didn't take us long to get there, and the view was worth the trip.
Kaden had fun, even though I don't think he found anyone his age to interact with.
Posi Hill was our next stop, even though we considered bypassing it to get to lunch sooner. It ended up being blocked by a 4Runner that had rolled over backwards, but was now sitting on all four wheels.
We helped with cleaning up some of the glass, and one rig got to run the obstacle, but the rest didn't try.
Plenty of spectator vehicles.
Following Rusty and Cecil up the dusty trail.
The speakers all had great personal messages to share.
Rusty had to set up a poser shot.
