A reminder to Tread Lightly
« on: May 23, 2006, 07:27:07 AM »

Once again, wheeling season is upon us.  As good shepards of God's world, we need to remember to respect the beautiful world He has created while enjoying our sport.

A few things to remember:
-  Stay on the trail
-  Stay off the "Green Stuff" (trees, bushes, grass, etc...)
-  Put camp fires OUT!

Basically................ Tread Lightly!
To leave a good impression, you need the right information. Through education, restoration and research, Tread Lightly! empowers generations to enjoy the outdoors responsibly. If we increase public awareness and encourage responsible outdoor practices, the great outdoors will be accessible, open and well preserved for years to come.  Our club agrees with the Tread Lightly! pledge and encourages all groups to observe and adhere to these principles.
-   Travel and recreate with minimum impact
-   Respect the environment and the rights of others
-   Educate yourself--plan and prepare before you go
-   Allow for future use of the outdoors--leave it better than you found it
-   Discover the rewards of responsible recreation

As our little club grows, we become very visable to other off roaders, other clubs, and local authorities.  Like everything else, Christians are held to a higher measure than non-believers.

With these things in mind, let's go have some fun and spank some ROCKS!

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.
