Information from Mark Cave

Please open the attached Sierra Club document regarding the proposed Sierra National Forest Travel Management Plan.  If you agree with them you do not need to do a thing.  If you do not please take the folowing actions:

1)  Come to the event to gather signatures and support Saturday June 20 from 2 to 6 pm (PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!) at Jim Riley's Yamaha 99 in Madera   You will be able to sign a document supporting the Stewards of the Sierra National Forest Comment Project, get questions answered, and have some refreshments.

2)  Support the Comment Project by donating the cash equivalent of a Jerry can of gas - $20 (or two cans is fine)  If cannot make the event go online to infor@sotsnf.org and donate there.  The costs of the project cover professioal writers copying and further responses.

3)  Make your own comments.  At the event you can sign up for the letter generator that Stewards of the Sierra National Forest is developing to help generate individual comments regarding your favorite trail or campsite's closure or reduction in access.

4)  Spread the word.  Forward this to family friends, club members, fellow hunters, fisherman, back country stock users, campers and fellow OHV enthusiasts.  We all stand to lose the use of our forest if we do not make our voice heard now.  If we do not act now the Sierra Club and their friends will be the only opinions heard on the DEIS.
