Been there .......... it's unbelievable

here is a brief history

In 1904, Jennie Butchart began to beautify a worked-out quarry site left behind from her husband's pioneering efforts in the manufacture of Portland cement at nearby Tod Inlet. Her venture remains a family commitment to horticulture and hospitality spanning over 100 years.

not bad for filling a few holes your husband left behind

Kari and I went there about 10 yrs ago and let me say that those pictures don't do the place justice. I'm not really a garden type of guy, but I walked aroung with my jaw hanging open. It's probably the closest thing to the Garden of Eden that I will ever see.

Hey Brothers & sisters!  I really appreciate the posts by you folks!  I was wondering if this was a real place or some doctored up photos! Thanks for the brief history Pat....your impressions Fred & Mitch!  I can't imagine anything created and maintained by man that would be as beautiful as this garden must be!  Thanks again....God bless you all...
