What are you thankful for?
« on: November 20, 2006, 12:34:42 PM »

In the Spirit of Thanksgiving, what are you thankful for this year?

We are so blessed as a society, we often miss the basics, like bountiful food and clean water.

I am thankful for a relationship with a Godly woman

For three beautiful daughters

For a job

For my health (The back is letting me do almost everything I desire)

Also, I am so very thankful for you all being a large part of my life. It blesses me to no end that you all are my friends, brothers and sisters.

God bless you all this Thanksgiving. May He continue to draw you all deeper into His presence and pour out His blessings with such abundance that you have to say, "Enough!"

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Where do I start....God's Word. There are so many believers in other countries that don't have access to a Bible. We are so blessed to have God speak to us through his word every day!  :working:

For Christ's gift, for my parents love and guidance, for my daughter's health and love, and for my wife's strength.

I have soo many things to be thankful for this year especially

* After eight plus years of marriage, we are spending our first Thanksgiving with our precious 8 month old son. After years of anticipation and apprehension, we finally have the son we have so desired. And with his life, we have been blessed to experience the love of a parent, as the love of Christ. I spent years in fear that it would be so hard to have a little baby and to be a parent. I feared that it would be overwhelming for me and that my identity and life would be lost in the life of a child. I was also afraid that my husband would be distant from the child and not much help. However, this has not been the case at all. My son is EASY! I have NEVER felt overwhelmed or like I needed a time-out. He Doesn't hardly cry at all and sleeps through the night in his own crib and room (since three months old). He has only enhanced our lives. My husband has the exact same role in the baby's life as I do. It's a 50-50 parenting job. My husband is the best father. Also, I have only experienced more of life with him, though I thought my adventures would be halted because of him. Since his birth we have done so much..... camping, boating, wheeling, traveling, playing and having fun. We haven't done so much in the whole time of marriage as we have done since his birth. Anyway, I am thankful for him

*This year, I am thankful for my husbands job. He went to school a few years ago and got a degree in IT. Now he makes really good money and has great insurance. I am now free to stop working if I want to. Because of his income and mine, this year we were able to purchase a whole lotta toys. We got our boat, Big Red, the fifth wheel camper, my Dodge RAM 4x4, and our little go-cart. Finally the financial freedom to have fun!!! And.......we totally renovated our house!

OK, so I am thankful for a whole lot. And I don't think there is enough room to list all the rest that I left out!

OK, now I'll be thankful when there's no more turkey around.

I ate around lunchtime...full turkey dinner. Then sandwiches at 6 pm, then one more around 10. I was really gobbling. Now I'm ready for it to go away.

I am thankful for the relationship I have with my husband, who is also my best friend...   He loves me unconditionally (even when I think I am unlovable)...  We are blessed with 3 very healthy, normal teenagers that have all accepted the Lord & been baptized...  We have an awesome group of friends here & on other forums that have shown us a tremendous amount of support in the past year & year and a half...

I am thankful that I live in a country where I can worship freely...

Now that we are heading into the Christmas season, it's nice to reflect back on what we have and be greatful for it
