Wow, the run was canceled (too much rain) so we had a great tri tip dinner for lunch on Saturday and a great raffle right after.  This year there was no bar and subsequently a much tamer crowd.  We have three Cal 4 officers in the Lock and Low club and all agreed that no more bar is a great idea.
I think Guy is still picking the mud out of his teeth from the campground mud bog Saturday afternoon! :applause:  I wish I had my Commando there!  There's nothing like 6" of mud everywhere.  Of course I did take Guy on a wild goose chase Friday night.   We sort of back tracked as I thought we missed the campground.  Another adventure to say the least.  Daughter Kendra and I had a great Daddy / Daughter outing.  We're still cleaning mud out of and off everything.

Hello All,
Leslie and I need to sell off our Ford full size traveler van.  Now that she's a stay at home mom again, things are a bit tight!  This van has the works: Leather, entertainment package, and seats 7 comfortably.  It has 50k miles on the 5.4 V-8 with good rubber on the ground.  KBB private party is $16+K.  We are looking for $14 as we need to part with it soon.  Please spread the word (and talk about the van ) .

Scelzi Truck body has a parts department that has all kinds of that stuff reasonably priced.  They are on Cherry just south of Jensen.  Their parts dep. is on a side street just North of the main shop (I can't remember the side street name).  Also, Terminal Air Brake might have some small ones.  They are also on Cherry just North of Jensen.  Happy Hunting!

Anybody interested in Lone Pine on Presidents weekend in February?  There's some fun stuff in the Inyo's.  Usually snow is involved, then head down to Saline to warm up.

Oh yea! :steeringwheel:
Growing up in Bishop led to considerable adventures in that area.  Bodie to Aurora in the winter is pretty good to.  Surprises the ranger living there year round!  When you all want to go?

Leslie and I like the Panamints or Marble Bath in the winter and the Dusy or Rubicon in the summer!  Of course now that I say that I can think of all kinds of other great trails we've had adventures on.  We alternate who gets to drive.  When Leslie drives, no carnage, pure finesse.  When I drive, I get to fix stuff.
So on reflection:
Winter - Anything desert (including snow runs)
Summer - Anything Sierra, Colorado, or Utah

Thankfully in the grip of His grace,

It's all good!  I just don't care for the cleanup in the mud.  Of course I have an aversion to cleanup after any run.  Mondays at the office, people can always tell if Leslie and I had a good time. :racing:
More dents = rocks
can't see through the windows or what color the Jeep was = Mud
dusty, dusty, dusty = Desert exploring
combination of any of the above = awesome trip!
