Hi All,

Most of you probably know that I work for ChristianCinema.com. We will be sending out an email only to friends and family one day here in the next few weeks and I wanted to offer it to you guys to get on board, if interested.

Just a touch about us:

We are the largest e-commerce store of our kind on the internet.

To boil down what we do:

We are a motion picture production and distribution company founded in 1999, that has become multi-faceted. Here are the different divisions of our Company:

Production - We now produce approximately 1-2 films per year. (Our next film, Like Dandelion Dust, will release in 2010 - Here is just a small portion of a trailer that is at the end of video) -

Retail Website - www.ChristianCinema.com (this is the part of the company that I work for)
Rental Website - www.christiancinema.com/dvdrental/default.php (like a Christian Netflix, if you will)

In these economic times, we would love to have your business, indeed. If you send me a PM with your email address, I am happy to add you to the email list for the Friends and Family EMAIL that we will be sending out. You will not be placed on any other mailing lists of ours unless you choose to sign up for our Newsletter which you will have to do yourself on our site. It is very cool, actually. We have our own, in house, Chief Editor, who writes it. She includes all of the latest Christian Movie news, inlcuding upcoming releases, interviews (which she personally conducts) with Producers, actors, etc.

Christmas is coming right up. We offer a wide range of both Christian AND Family Friendly DVDs and wide-array at that. All ages, Genres, etc.

Thanks so much y'all,

Prayer Request / Emergency Prayer Request please. Bad car accident:
« on: June 14, 2009, 10:02:55 PM »
Our bestfriend's father (and fil - Roger) and his wife (Barbara) were on their way to their (our best friends) home in Sanger for a visit this evening. When they were less than 1-mile away they were broad sided by a man who blew a stop sign at high speed. This man had his wife and 2 kids with him. The saddest part of the whole accident is that both of his daughters were thrown from the vehicle and the 12-year old little girl was killed. The EMT's tried to work on her for a time, however, to no avail. So sad. The other daughter was air-lifted, the wife taken in an ambulance and the father/husband was last seen being sobriety checked by the officers on scene.
Our friends are at the hospital now but not being allowed to go in and see either Roger or Barbara, so all we know at this point is that they are considered to be in stable condition. We know nothing of the condition of the others in the accident at this point.
Please pray for all.
I dare say that this father (who ran the stop sign), if found to be over legal limits for alcohol, will have much to live with for the rest of his life. Yes, indeed, he will even if this is not found.
Please pray for healing for all, both physical and emotional and for spiritual healing for each in need. May this accident bring much glory to God. May a miracle be done that will bring this man to his knees and to God if he does not already know him. Roger (this is Birddogs bestfriend's father) is in his early 70's and just came to know Jesus a few short years ago. It was a wonderful thing, however, in the last couple of years, he seems to have pulled away from God, so please pray with us for a miracle of illumination for him.
Thanks so much for any time you may sacrifice to pray for these people.

Bless you,
John and Mindy

Hi Guys,

I realized after having posted this on Craigslist and after getting lots of responses that we'd like to offer to y'all first as you guys are our friends AND would more than likely have use for these. They have sat out in weather in our trailer however, with a good cleanup would be just fine as they both still function great! Now that the kids are gone we don't have as much use for them (the carriers, that is - ha! :D). We used them on every trip we took while they were still at home.
Anyhoo, if you want them, we need them picked up no later than this weekend please. If we don't have any takers from here by Friday, we will go ahead and start calling the Craiglist responders.

Prayer Request / Family that just lost their child
« on: February 25, 2009, 07:08:09 AM »
Please pray for a Reedley family who just lost their approx. 18 mo. old daughter suddenly. I don't know the family personally, but a friend of mine emailed me with the prayer request. Ella Joy Van Leeuwen (spelling may be off), the approx. 18-mo. old fell off the bed and hit her head. She was at Children's in Fresno not expected to live. Yesterday the family had to do what no parent could ever imagine having to. They had to remove the life support that their little girl was on. This family will need prayer.

Would love to hear an update on Leslie.  She's been on my mind the last several days.

Prayer Request / Could use prayer...
« on: January 01, 2009, 07:35:04 AM »
Almost embarassing to post this up after having read the serious nature of most of the other posts here, but figured y'all are my brothers and sisters and who better to ask.

I am sick with some nasty cold flu thing. After battling a very wierd off and on again cold the 2 weeks prior, I woke up Sunday morning (after 2 beautiful days on snow wheeling runs) sicker than a dog.

Super sore throat that is round the clock, fatigue and a bunch of other lovely symptoms.  Keep waiting for that day when ya wake up and feel at least a little tiny bit better to show that you're on the mends, but it's Thursday and still no such luck.

Anyhoo, am finished whining. If not better by tomorrow, will go to a Dr. -  darnit!

Thanks y'all,

Mrs. B

Vendors Support / My place of work...

Hi Y'all!

Thought that some of you might enjoy shopping on the website that I work for. We are called ChristianCinema.com Though we sell worldwide and are perhaps the largest Christian and Family Friendly DVD store on the entire internet, we are locally owned. The owners names are Bobby and Kevin Downes. They are both Film producers. In addition to producing,  Kevin is also an actor. They own several production companies. Here is a link to Wikipedia where you can read a bit more about Bobby. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Downes). Here is a Wikipedia article about Kevin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Downes). I am so blessed and honored to work for them! They are currently in the middle of working on 3 different films, with many more in the lineup. One of these is called "Like Dandelion Dust" based on a book written by christian author, Karen Kingsbury. There are 2 actors in this film whose names you've probably heard. Mira Sorvino (The Replacement Killers, Gods and Generals and lots more) and Barry Pepper (Flags of Our Fathers, The Green Mile, Saving Private Ryan).
Our site is a great place to shop. We also have a rental club. A Christian "netflix" of sorts.

Thanks for your support!
Have Fun!!

Teresa, the secretary at RockHopper's church just called me asking if I had any photos of Randy with his rig. I sent her 1 of his rig (but you can't see him) and I sent a group picture from the "RockHopper RoundUp Run". All of the pics that I could find of him only showed his truck and not him.
She didn't want to bother Penny about this. Do any of you have a picture that would have Randy AND his rig in it??
If so, please send to my email at mindyme@comcast.net

Mrs. Birddog :)

As most all know now, our dear and beloved brother in Christ and fellow-4-wheelin buddy "RockHopper", Randy , went to be with the Lord this last Saturday morning, Aug. 5th. He will be missed terribly. How grateful we are to know though, that beyond a shadow of a doubt, that He is now with our Lord.

Aside from countless friends and extended family, Randy left behind a sweet wife and twin girls.
If you are interested in donating money, we, as a club, will take those funds to go out and buy Save Mart Gift Certifictes which is what Randy's wife requested. Should we collect more than needed for these gift certificates, we will give the excess to the family in a check.

Please send your TAX DEDUCTiBLE donation here:

Thanks so much in advance for your love and support of this precious family. May God bless you 100-fold!!

Here are a few scriptures found in God's Word regarding caring for widows and orphans:

"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by  the world." Jas 1:27

"For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing." Deut 10:17&18

"The LORD protects the strangers;
He supports the fatherless and the widow,
But He thwarts the way of the wicked." Ps. 146:9
