So last night I noticed that the above ground pump between my storage tank and the pressure bladder was cycling on and off more than normal. When it kicked on, the pressure bladder tank would go to about 40 psi and shut off. With no water being used, the pressure bladder tank would immediately start dropping pressure at about 1 psi per second until the booster pump would kick on again. I went around my property and found no leaks at any faucets. Water storage tank is full.
I'm wondering if the pressure bladder is bad and the only pressure being observed at the house (seems normal) is from the above ground booster pump bypassing the pressure tank ( if that's even possible???)

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Hey everyone, sorry for the late notice, the Valley Teen Ranch BBQ will be on Friday May 30th at 6:00 p.m.
Due to unavoidable circumstances, I will be in Alaska on the 30th of this month =(
We are planning to do two games with the kids... 1. the game where the kids put the cans on the poles as they get driven around, and 2, a low range obstacle course where the driver/ owner of the rig is blindfolded and one of the kids from the VTR guides them through an obstacle course of poles giving the driver verbal cues ( go left.... more left... stick on the right in 10 feet... now straight ahead...) Timed of course with penalties for hitting a pole.

For both of these activities we need some poles (I heard we may have left overs from years past somewhere) and some tin cans #10 or soup cans i think...
Please post up if you can go or provide poles.

4x4 Tech Assistance / Can I borrow a 115v flux mig?
« on: April 15, 2014, 01:15:52 PM »
I need to build some odd shaped dog yard panels and the materials would cost a fraction of the "kits"

Does anyone have a 115v mig welder with flux wire I can borrow or rent for a couple weeks.

Sheriff candidate Greg Noll is in need of one or two jeeps or nice looking rigs to be in the Raymond parade next Saturday. Parade starts at noon so rigs would need to be on scene at 11 and should be done by 1:30 at the latest.
If you would be willing to help out and have your rig in a parade , give me a call or text at 559-392-9641

I have a Kindle Fire HD (wifi, not 4g) running the restrictive Kindle OE software. I have some nice topo apps with downloaded maps but the Kindle Fire HD does not have the ability to read or receive a GPS signal from a tether or through the bluetooth. I've heard rumors that you can root the Kindle to run a standard Android software and then get the device to recieve the GPS input but this is way beyond my knowledge.... Anyone? Beuller?

For those that live in Madera County and were at the club meeting last month with Greg Noll... Several had expressed interest in getting a yard sign to show support for Noll.

If you are interested, e-mail me at JoshCushin@aol.com or text me at 559-392-9641 with your information and whether you want me to bring it to your house or to the monthly club meeting.

Mr. Noll is a highly pro 2A candidate who spent a lot of time in his youth wheeling the trails above Bass Lake and will do everything he can to keep our trails open!

4x4 Tech Assistance / Ran out of gas ... Anything to worry about?
« on: November 16, 2013, 09:02:34 PM »
First time in 31 years.... Guess I had this coming :-)

Vehicle: 1980 K5 Blazer, 350 v-8, stock carb

Vehicle sat for 9 years and I recently got it running (drained and refilled gas tank, new fuel lines, new fluids, new plugs... About 20 miles on it since then)

Yesterday I put a couple ounces of seafoam in the tank (it had 2 gallons in the tank). Today I took it for a drive and it ran fine, no smoke, perfect idle...
I accidentally ran out of gas. At first I didn't know it was just out of gas so I put it in park, restarted it (ran rough) and when I put it in gear and pressed the gas it barely moved and there was an audible rattle coming from the engine and as it died, it "dieseled" for about 3-5 seconds... I  went and got 2 more gallons. After putting the fresh gas in, I went to start it and it smoked kinda bad for 10-15 seconds.  It started hard and would run for about 10 seconds and then stumble. If I didn't gas it, it would die. When I would restart it, it would shoot out some blue/ white smoke then settle into a slightly smoky idle. After running for about 10 minutes, it stopped smoking on startup and there is no rattle on startup or acceleration.  After that I was able to put it in gear and drive home with no problem...
Question is did I do any long term with running out of gas or using seafoam?

Items Being Looked For / Trailer for a day?
« on: July 13, 2013, 09:48:53 PM »
I need to pick up my blazer in Prather and take it to my mechanic in Auberry on either Friday the 19th or Saturday the 20th. I got one available but it is in Coarsegold and I'd like to find one closer perhaps in the Madera Ranchos.
