OK lets tray something new for me this year,  I'm  a grandfather :  ;D
In February 1977, Senator Randolph, with the concurrence of many other senators, introduced a joint resolution to the senate requesting the president to "issue annually a proclamation designating the first Sunday of September after Labor Day of each year as 'National Grandparents' Day'." Congress passed the legislation proclaiming the first Sunday after Labor Day as National Grandparents' Day and, on August 3, 1978, then-President Jimmy Carter signed the proclamation.
       This week end
    1. Just be a grandparent
    2. Go 4x and fishing
    3. Go hold the little ones (fraternal twins) one boy & one girl
    4. All the above.

Christian Talk / Happy fathers day
« on: June 16, 2017, 02:03:54 PM »
You all father's:

President Bush's Father's Day Proclamation

Father's Day Prayer
"Fathers play a unique and important role in the lives of their children. As mentor, protector, and provider, a father fundamentally influences the shape and direction of his child's character by giving love, care, discipline, and guidance. As we observe Father's Day, our nation honors fatherhood and urges fathers to commit themselves selflessly to the success and well-being of their children. And we reaffirm the importance of fathers in the lives of their children. Raising a child requires significant time, effort, and sacrifice; and it is one of the most hopeful and fulfilling experiences a man can ever know. A father can derive great joy from seeing his child grow from infancy to adulthood. As a child matures into independence and self reliance, the value of a parent's hard work, love, and commitment comes to fruition.

Responsible fatherhood is important to a healthy and civil society. Numerous studies confirm that children whose fathers are present and involved in their lives are more likely to develop into prosperous and healthy adults. Children learn by example; and they need their father's presence as examples of virtue in their daily lives. A child's sense of security can be greatly enhanced by seeing his parents in a loving and faithful marriage."
George W. Bush
President, USA

Praise Reports / The reason for the season
« on: December 20, 2015, 08:57:13 AM »
“And there were in the same country Shepard’s abiding in
the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the
angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone
round about them, and they were sore afraid. And the angel said
unto them, ‘fear not, for behold, I bring you tidings of great
joy which will be to all people. For unto you is born this day in
the city of David a savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this
shall be a sign unto you. Ye shall find the babe wrapped in
swaddling clothes lying in the manger.’ And suddenly, there was
with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and
saying, ‘glory to God in the highest, and on Earth peace, good
will toward men.’”
Amen
